I hereby declare that I am authorised by the above applicant organisation to apply for membership and that ( if its application is granted ) my organisation will comply with the terms of the AMRO Constitution (including Protocol ) and the Road Traffic Act Protocol as from time to time adopted and the Personal Injury Protocol as from time to time adopted. I confirm that the contents of this application form are correct.

I understand that the Management Committee reserve the right to admit or refuse applications which will not be open to appeal.

You will need to supply an accountant’s declaration of satisfaction of membership criteria 5a) - j) and at least three recommendations from members of MASS , APIL OR FOIL


AMRO will not divulge the information contained in this form to any other party unless by prior agreement.

  1. All enquiries for membership shall be referred to the Honorary Secretary who shall send out the following:-

a) an application form and a copy of these procedures and principles

b) a copy of the Constitution

c) a copy of the Protocol

d) details of initial joining fee and annual subscription fee

2. Applications shall be addressed to the Honorary Chairman. The application shall then be considered at the next Management Committee Meeting when the Management Committee shall indicate whether or not they recommend acceptance of the application. Details of the application and the Management Committees’ recommendation shall be notified to members before a final decision is made by the Management Committee.

3. The Management Committee shall be empowered to grant/refuse applicants to membership and their decision shall be final. They shall not be required to give reasons by their decision.

4. The Honorary Secretary shall inform applicants of their membership acceptance/rejection immediately following the Management Committee Meeting. The successful applicant will be forwarded an Invoice for the initial joining fee and annual subscription fee (forwarded to the Honorary Secretary).

5. A successful applicant should meet the following criteria:-

a) it has been trading for a period of three years;

b) it has a minimum turnover of 12,000 medical reports per annum;

c) it makes use of a minimum of 500 experts nationwide;

d) it has a minimum of ten clients which are not associated organisations of it;

e) it has its registered office or principal place of business in the United Kingdom;

f) it has been recommended by at least 3 members of the following organisations: the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS), the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL)

g) it is willing to accept the AMRO Constitution and to comply with the AMRO Protocol

h) it is willing to conduct its business in accordance with the Road Traffic Act Protocol as from time to time adopted and the Personal Injury Protocol as from time to time adopted.

i) it is willing to provide a representative to attend a minimum of one meeting per annum

j) it is not an organisation nor is it owned or controlled by any organisation which in the course of its business acts on behalf of or represents Claimants or Defendants in personal injury litigation or negotiation.

6. Paragraphs 5a)- je) above will be confirmed in writing by the applicant’s accountants and this written confirmation will be sent together with the membership application form

7. The Management Committee shall have the right to suspend or terminate an organisation’s membership if it shall at any time fail to satisfy the eligibility criteria.

8. The members may invite new members to nominate a representative to the Management Committee.
